Remarkably Easy Way to Make Elementary Science Fun!

Is it hard for you to fit science into each week of instruction? Do you wish you had an  easy experiment to show the class? Do you wish you had an easy way to help students use the Scientific Method in a meaningful way? Well, help is on the way!

I've incorporated "Scientist of the Week" as homework and it was an easy and fun way to make sure there was science, using the Scientific Method, each week in class! I have created "Scientist of the Week Homework" available in my store to help you! I just revised this resource with a bonus experiment that is easy for you to use with the class!

Here is a photo of some of my students sharing their experiments! They loved being the one to share and watching their classmates share! At the end of the year, all of students could name the experiment that each of their classmates shared! It was so awesome! If your school allows,it's fun to take a picture of the child sharing and send it in an e-mail to the parents telling them how much you enjoyed their child's presentation!

I would suggest using some sort of random name generator to decide which child will present each week. That way it is exciting for the class and keeps things fresh! But, do keep a record of who has had a turn so there are no repeats until everyone has presented.
Also, I would suggest only your class or maybe one other (if you're departmentalized) watch the presentations. That way you can keep the presentations to a 5-10 minute time slot.
I think this is one of the best ideas I've used in my career for super easy and fun science and I'm so pleased to share it with you!
